Children
are warmly welcomed in our services.
Any
children visiting are welcome to join the Sunday school.
Parents should not feel embarrassed if any
little ones become restless, you are welcome to use the vestries if they become
agitated and need space, and return when you may.
A Note from Jane Angwin
We
wish all school age young people a fantastic summer holiday. Please note, the
Sunday School will also be 'on holiday' on 27th July and for all of the
month of August. We start again on Sunday, 7th
September.
On Saturday, 4th October, 2 - 4.30 pm, there will be
an Activity Afternoon for Church children taking place in the Church, Vestries
and surrounds. All school
age children who come to Church, Choir, Sunday
School, GFT or other, are welcome to attend. Plans are not fully formed but we
expect to 'activate' some-
thing based on Harvest and/or the Churchyard - so,
hope the weather is good to us!
It was with great sadness that the GFT team (big
kids, little kids and helpers) said goodbye to Fr Michael after Soul Space on
13th July. We shall miss him
sorely but, under his express orders, we look
forward to GFT starting again on Sunday 14th September after the summer break.
It will continue on the 2nd
and 4th Sunday of each month as before. James Gavin
will run the first sessions and further sessions when he can - we shall find
other helpers to fill the
gaps!
The next Soul Space will be on Sunday 28th
September. This will be planned by the GFT team (big kids, little kids and
helpers) and Fr Kevin will
star on the day.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
All children
are welcome to our Sunday school which is held
in conjunction with our 10.00 am service. Children leave during the first hymn and return in time for the
communion
Sunday school
happens every Sunday, except 2nd Sunday in the month. On 2nd Sundays there is
an All Age parish Mass at 10.00 which is an informal service for both children
and adults.
