Children
Children are welcome at all our services. Some services and events are designed especially for families.
Sunday School: During the 10am Parish Mass. Each week there is a children's activity group during the service with stories, craft activities and prayers linked to Christian teaching. Children of all ages are very welcome. There are toys for babies and toddlers (it helps if parents stay with little ones). All the children rejoin their parents in time to go up to the communion rail for a blessing.
First Sunday at 10am: The whole service is an All Age Parish Mass, so no Sunday School.
Parish Breakfast: After every 10am Mass. This is a chance for everyone to meet and chat over refreshments. The children enjoy the food and they play as they would at any big family get together.
Sunday School and Parish Breakfast take place in the Hall attached to the church.
Children's Choir: 7pm - 8:15pm. Fridays Term Times. Including 'Voices for Life' activities, singing and refreshments.
Quiet play and books area: There is a carpeted area at the back of church with toys and books for your children to use during a service. You can pop into church at any time in the week for 5 minutes peace while your children are busy in this area. You can also borrow books. For instance, this may help you to have family prayers at bedtime.
