Servers

Lay people take a full and active part in the leading of our services, as welcomers, servers, readers, lay ministers of communion and in leading the intercessions.

Servers fufill an important function in assisting with the celebration of the Eucharist. Most begin by carrying a processional candle or cross, and may later learn how to use a thurible in which incense is burnt and swung during Mass.
